Hi guys! I know I’m a little late to post this (was aiming for St. Valentine’s day) but since everyday is a good day to love, here we go.
Jeff and I have been married 1 yr and 7 months, basically newlyweds, and still feel like two kids that are crazy for each other and love to play! It is easy to get caught up in all the negativity that we’re facing nowadays but it is our biggest goal to prevent that from happening and to always enjoy each other and the beautiful world we live in.
This is how we do it as a couple:
- Make fun of each other: If one of us gets too serious (mostly me, oops!) about something, the other one makes fun of that fact and looks for ANY reason to make him/her laugh. Even if I try to play it cool and pretend I’m extra mad, it’s inevitable not to burst a laugh and forget about the topic!
- Dance: It is one of the most effective ways to forget about everything that surrounds us and be in the moment. Wether we’re pretending to be pro’s or just dancing silly, we love to be spontaneous and show off our moves whenever we can.
- Make coffee together: Seriously, nothing better than this. Specially for all the coffee addicts like me. It’s our tradition to wake up Sunday morning and make coffee together. It’s the perfect time to talk (some more) about anything and still be disconnected from work, stress or any distraction.
- Share at least one activity: Yes, you guessed it. We love to workout together. It doesn’t matter if it’s your or his favorite activity the point is to experience it together. Example: Working out was was never my priority or better yet a favorite activity, let’s just say that I’d use dance as an excuse to never work out. It is Jeff’s fault that I now can’t see myself not working out at least 3 times a week 🙂
- Be goofy: Be silly, be a kid. There’s nothing more attractive to me than a man that can be funny, goofy, cheesy and not care. It’s the one thing that always makes me smile and reminds me how much being a kid sets you free!
