The first question that comes to mind is: Where has time gone? May is already here and I can’t believe how fast this year is going by. As much as I wish I could say that every month of the year is a great one, that’s not the truth. Usually around this time of the year a little thing called anxiety shows up! The rush of the New Year is far gone and the excitement of Summer time is still a ways ahead. So yes, if you’re experiencing anxiety, lack of creativity or stress; you’re not alone! These three things affect directly our lifestyle and most importantly our work. They’re no fun to experience but I do have to say, it’s important to know that they’re a part of life and therefore completely OK to experience. In other words: It’s OK to not be OK! Knowing this will take a lot weigh off your shoulders. As a blogger / creative being “stuck” is very frustrating so I decided to make a few changes and follow these steps in order to “snap out of it” and see the light again – if you know what I mean 😉 . These are things that help me get my creative juices flowing again and I hope they do the same for you!
- Take Vitamin D – This what I like to call my mood lifter! You know that happy feeling you get after a day by the pool or at the beach? I love it too! My daily doses of Vit D is essential during tough times. I take one drop of the Quantum Nutrition D3 Gold Supplement in the morning and it puts me in a great mood almost instantly. *If you don’t have or don’t want to take supplements 5-10 min in the sun will do the trick!
- Unplug – This is a strange one, how to get better at what you do or get back on track when you’re not doing anything at all? No matter what, I come first. So I take time to focus only on myself and remember why I started and how far I’ve come. Reminding yourself of the the small achievements will make you smile!
- Change your work space – In order to think outside the box, you need to step out of the box. Nothing new will come out the same routine. Coffee shops can sometimes be your best friend when looking for fresh creativity. People watching, different decor or even the taste of a new cup of coffee are some of the easiest ways to get inspired again.
- Involve Nature – The best way to be still and listen to your heart is by connecting with nature. I find most my answers when I’m disconnected from it all. Feet in the sand, up high on a mountain during a hike or somewhere (anywhere) in touch with nature. It could be as simple as taking the time to watch the Sunset. I find myself the most inspired and ready to create after spending time outside.
