This past weekend we took a little getaway to see our good friends Kathleen and Ricky get married in a very beautiful and unique hotel in Merida called Hacienda Temozon. The Hacienda is just a 4 hour drive from Cancun. This beautiful Mexican Gem is hidden away in the middle of the jungle.
With it’s coral walls and white moldings you get to experience the merging of Spanish colonial and Mexican culture taking you on a journey back to 17th century.
Once we arrived, we didn’t waist anytime jumping right into it’s amazing pool surrounded by nature. And there is no better place to finally relax than the pool bar with a margarita (or two) in hand. Definitely the highlight of the hotel.
Between all the wedding activities and getting to enjoy our friends, I’m proud to say that other than that we did nothing but sit back, get a tan, eat tacos, lots of guac, and drink tequila.
Props to the bride and groom for choosing this former sisal estate in the Yucatan as their wedding destination.
I linked the items I packed for this short trip hoping you find some inspiration for your next tropical getaway! I still can’t believe I traveled with a duffle bag and a back pack. No tote this time around and let me tell you it was beyond comfortable and saved us a lot of time!
Until next blog, loves!
