Trending, trends! One that’s going around strong as we speak is the Gingham pattern. If I’m honest, it slowly (veeeery slow) grew on me which is why I’m writing this blog just now, I guess better late than never ;). Trends are so fun to keep up with but could easily break the bank, am I right?! Here are a few tips on how to avoid doing so:
- Research brands. This is important when looking for a trendy item. Comparing brands and prices will make a difference. Believe it or not I’ve found higher end brands that carry the same style for the same price than a lower quality brands. This might take a minute but it’s definitely worth the time.
- Make sure you’ll wear it more than twice. We all know trends come and go in the blink of an eye so I like to make sure that I’M IN LOVE with the item and that I’m 100% sure I’ll continue to wear it even if the trend fades off.
- Buy one item. It’s my rule! I rather have one trendy item that’s great quality and it fits right even if it means paying a little more for it than purchasing multiple things for a cheaper price (that eventually add up) but will lack the quality factor. This helps me decide how much I like the trend and if it’s worth my money.
